[He spots the familiar blond head of hair in the kitchen as he peeks around the corner. Having washed up for the day Joshua's own hair is a bit wet, stuck to his forehead still and curling in funny ways as it dries.]
[He comes into the kitchen fully, curious as to what he might be cooking.]
Actually, it is a request I have to make of you. You may deny it, of course, and it is well within your right to but...if you would consider it, I would be grateful.
[Dion looks a touch self-conscious as Joshua nears. It's only porridge, but it's clear from the look and smell of it that it's been sweetened with a mix of honey and chopped strawberry]
[Oh. That's not what he's expecting at all, and it's rather much. He occupies himself with taking the pot off the heated metal surface and closes its door as well as the vents to let the fire within begin to peter out]
While I'm not averse to the idea, there are only the two rooms..
[He supposes that makes sense, and in all honesty, he certainly feels more at ease with Joshua than Ifrit or Shiva and imagines them sharing closer space would be manageable enough]
I do. [He moves to portion the porridge into the two bowls set on the table. Cooking for two is fine, but he isn't sure he'll manage four] Occasionally, anyway- when I'm drunk or particularly exhausted. I'm told I sound like a dragonet.
[Right. How to do this. Joshua had said that Dion can be rather insecure and Clive really doesn't want to add to that, though he's sure whatever he does will be nerve-wracking. Might as well just be straight-forward, then.]
Prince Dion. I would very much like to meet with you at your earliest convenience.
[It's certainly unexpected, and the formal address sets him ill at ease rather quickly. Mayhap he knows what this is about, though the timing of it is odd enough that he wonders]
Certainly. I can be along shortly. Where might you prefer to convene?
[Whilst he does not make all haste, Dion finds the anticipation churning in his gut worse than he imagines the actual subject matter may be and so does not tarry. Within a quarter of an hour, he finds Ifrit's dark silhouette by the small garden in question.
Dion takes in a breath and straightens his shoulders, then strides forward as though he has naught to fear]
[And so Clive waits in the garden, studying one of the flowering bushes as he waits for Dion to join him. He reaches out and gently runs his fingers along the petals of a particularly vibrant bloom, taking in the simple beauty of nature while trying to calm his own nerves. This should be easy, but when it comes to Joshua, Clive cannot just be done with it. Clive is his brother, his protector, and while he never wants to smother Joshua or snuff out his happiness, he will still be there to fight for him, if necessary.
But when Dion's footsteps approach and he announces himself, Clive's heart softens a bit. He doesn't want to have to fight. He wants Joshua to be happy. Clive turns around and bows his head to Dion in greeting, hoping to not come off as too intimidating.]
Only if I may take up some of your time.
[He takes a breath.]
Joshua spoke with me, regarding the two of you. I suppose my congratulations are in order.
[Dion stares for several moments, stiff and waiting for the fist to his face. When it doesn't come, he breathes a slow exhale and works to parse his thoughts.
Had Joshua waited this long? Great Greagor above, what had he been thinking?
He gives Ifrit an assessing look, working to discern his expression and playing his inflection over his head again.
I suppose?
Dion frowns and resists the urge to pace. Instead, he tucks his hands behind his back and rocks back on his heels]
[Meanwhile, Clive had thought he opened pretty positively, so to see Dion retreat into himself and immediately jump to the negative conclusion knocks him off-balance. Founder, what did he say this time? Why do his words not land the way he intends?
Clive shakes his head.]
On the contrary. I hold my brother's happiness most dear. And you, Dion, have always brought a light to his eyes. I would be a fool to discount that.
[Dion's expression softens along with the set of his shoulders. His eyes drop from Ifrit's face and he wrestles with the contrasting mix of emotion. He'd more than half-expected he would not approve- and a part of him certainly feels he shouldn't.
But matters are too delicate now to attempt an argument. Yet still it is difficult to simply accept. His weight shifts, discomfited]
[He sounds faintly surprised; that had been some time ago and he'd since put the consideration out of mind. There's a bit of shifting around for a moment]
And I would certainly still be willing if you would like. I sincerely doubt it could be worsened for making such an attempt.

There is at least one other among us whom I know bears Curse damage. And if I recall, Lioriley had mentioned looking into the matter, so she may be amenable.
If you would like to see the extent of the damage for yourself to better assess the matter and mayhap collaborate, I would be amenable.
I would like to reach out to her, and I would like to examine the extent of the damage. Out of curiosity, is the other individual the young man that I often see in your company?
[Thank Greagor she cannot see him. For all they have not been entirely subtle, it is another matter for its mention]
It is not. Joshua is.. curiously enough, perfectly well, though he bore a significant amount of curse damage before arriving here. We have yet to understand the reason for it, and can only surmise that the Phoenix must have had a hand in a rebirth of sorts.
In terms of my own however, I am reasonably available for examination as it suits you.
[ It's not like she is at all subtle about her relationship(s) as well. So really there was no shame there, only a question. She figures if this works on Dion, then whomever else from his world is inflicted with this curse could live a normal life again. ]
Ah, so as you are Bahamut, he is the Phoenix. The others from your world, do they hold those "eikons" the same as you?
As far as availability, I do not have a strict schedule. I can meet wherever you would be most comfortable. Fortunately the majority of the damage is present in my right arm with varying patches over my chest and back.

Certainly, if you do not require immediate assistance. I only need to keep stirring.

Well, Clive and Jill would share a room...and you and I one, if you would be okay with that. I promise I do not snore.

[That gets an immediate chuckle out of Joshua, smile sunny as he watches Dion spoon out two portions of porridge.]
Well, it will not be a bother to me, I assure you...and we will all pull our weight as well, of course.

Anyways.]
I’ve been granted even my staff, so I think we should have a good chance.
I don’t know the extent of the damage, but we could also ask Miss Lioriley as well? Her healing isn’t unlike my own.
If it works, are there others from your world that suffer the same?
